Thur 18th March – Day of action

Next Thursday is an important date for every education activist.  It is when HEFCE will announce which institutions’ funding will be cut this year and by how much.  It is also when both Sussex UCU and Leeds UCU will be taking a day of strike action against the cuts already announced there.  

The UCU branch has also backed the call to reinstate the “Sussex 6″ victimised students (see previous articles).  We must all show solidarity with these crucial dispute.  Let’s make next Thursday a national day of action, with collections, petitioning and rallies on every campus in support of the strikes and the suspended students.
