OUR Idea of the University: Protest David Willetts in Cambridge

On November 22nd, Cambridge University has invited David Willetts MP (Minister of State for Universities and Science), the man responsible for the extreme cuts to Higher Education funding in the UK and the trebling of tuition fees, to give a talk at Lady Mitchell Hall on ‘The Idea of the University’. We call on students, lecturers and staff to come to LMH to help offer OUR Idea of the University. His talk is scheduled to begin at 6pm, so we intend to be outside from 4.30 for music, discussion, and fun, and to show what a university should be like.
