National Union of Students (NUS) supports Education Activist Network Conference

On Monday September 13th, the Executive Council of the National Union of Students unanimously voted to support the Education Activist Network Conference at King’s College and London School of Economics on October 31.

The conference will be taking place ten days before the national demonstration called by UCU and NUS on Novermber 10 and aims to equip large numbers of grassroots campaigners to go back to their universities and build the national demonstration as well as effective, lasting locally-rooted campaigns for the future.

The motion passed at NUS called wide range of actions on and around the day of the spending review October 20 – including political meetings, rallies, protests and walk-outs; and to provide solidarity for strikes and occupations and to encourage local Students’ Unions to do the same by organizing protests and rallies, raising donations and writing letters.

The Education Activist Network is pleased to have the support of the National Union of Students.
