Protest against Richard Dawkins and his ‘New College’ TODAY

*Meet at the Institute of Education (London) Bedford Way Steps at 6.30* Dawkins is speaking at 7pm

Say no to Grayling and Dawkins new private and parasitical profit making ‘college’!

The academics who think teaming up with city spivs in the private equity world and charging students £18k a year tuition fees, as well as misleading them about the status and nature of their enterprise, do not have a place in our Universities.

Tell Prof Dawkins and his ilk, that we will not tolerate this grotesque and elite College on any account. They will not be able to proceed with New College with their reputations intact, and we will follow them and expose their charlatanism.

New College will further widen the gap between rich and poor in society, and is already being seen by some as a way of trialling fully private and profit making provision in Higher Education. The sky high fees can only spur on Oxbridge in their quest for unlimited tuition fees, and towards a free market in education, which would be absolutely detrimental to poorer students.

Education should not be about making profit, and we’re going to make sure that the founding members of New College hear that loud and clear.

Dawkins is speaking as ‘Humanist of the Year’!

  1. Petros says:

How can i join you? do you have facebook or something? cause i dont want to go by myself.

  2. Gareth Brown says:

I fully support your actions to disrupt Grayling at every turn.

As a 53 year old who did not go to university, I nevertheless fully supported and never begrudged my taxes paying for the free education of all up to and through university. I also did not mind giving grants to those who needed it. I figured a better educated country was better for all.

Health and Education should never be profit driven. They weren’t in the not-so-distant past, and there’s no reason for them to be now. Lack of money is a direct lie by governments in the pocket of private interests.

Bring them down, please, for the better future of us all, bring them down.
