Manchester EAN organises Education Feeder March on Tory Party Conference

On Sunday 2 October the Tories are coming to Manchester to discuss their cuts agenda. Tens of thousands will be marching against them. The TUC have called a national demonstration in opposition to Tory cuts, against the destruction of the welfare state and against the Tories’ vicious attack on the working class. This needs to be the biggest demonstration in Manchester’s history and we want students and education workers to be right at the heart of it.Last autumn students protests detonated the movement against education cuts, tuition fee rises and the whole cuts agenda when 50,000 marched in London and thousands more took part in local protests and occupations. We want students and education workers to visibly bring that energy, anger and dynamism back to the streets of Manchester this October.

Join us on the education feeder march from University Place, Manchester University, Oxford Road, 11am and for the national TUC Demonstration from 12 noon outside the Tory Party Conference.

Let us know if you’re trade union branch or campaign will pledge to support the demonstration and if they can make any donations towards the cost of running the demonstration.
