The Education Activist Network’s Co-ordination meeting to build the Education Shutdown at King’s College London, Strand Campus Room S-2.18 (Raked Lecture Theatre) at 6.30pm this Wednesday (fb: https://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=269868716381915) could be a massive step forward for the movement in terms of bringing different organisations and activists from across London and the South together to discuss what people are doing and how we can actually shut down education.

Todd, an Oakland-based activist wrote to EAN after their camp had been cleared:  “We’re doing fine.  Another big demo tonight to try to retake the camp after the cops broke it up at 4am this morning.  Then on the 16th, there is going to be a massive student demo in SF and LA v. 81% tuition hikes in public universities.  More cops for sure.  Actually, 10:30am will put us right in the middle of the demonstration. Should be very dramatic!”

Also, the wave of occupations across the US is now manifesting itself at the universities. Here are some videos:

Vice-chancellor addresses students. Watch to the end for students’ response. Brilliant:
