San Francisco State University has a very radical history, a successful strike and occupation in the late 1960s for example provided America with its first ‘Ethnic Studies’ department and led to the building of the Caesar Chavez Student Center. So it is in this vain that activists on campus continue to organise.
We heard that a massive attack was taking place upon London Metropolitan University, specifically on the international students and decided we needed to take a stand to support them. The UK Border Agency has undemocratically decided that the uni is no longer capable of providing international students with an education and has effectively made the students institution-less with a threat of deportation!
