About us

The Education Activist Network is a group of educationalists, lecturers, and students who campaign against cuts in adult, further and higher education. We are committed to working alongside trade unions and the National Union of Students as well as call independent initiatives.

We were founded by a 400-strong conference at King’s College in February 2010. Since then we have held numerous tech-ins and events across the country in order to put forward an alternative to the education cuts.

In November/December 2010 the Education Activist Network was one of the organisations at the heart of the student revolt. We argued for worker-student unity and initiated calls for assemblies, co-ordinations and a series of mobilisations.

Students and workers unite & fight!
