Education Strike – March 28
Both the National Union of Teachers (NUT) as well as the Colleges and Lecturers’ Union UCU (post-92/FE) will hold on a London-wide strike on Wednesday march 28.
The Education Activist Network is asking students and staff outside of London to
1) Twin with a UCU branch that will be on strike in London that day i.e. Manchester Met twins with London Met; Manchester College twins with Tower Hamlets College and let us know whom you have twinned with
2) Organise a lunchtime/morning rally for M28, banners with ‘in solidarity with [insert college], and solidarity donations for the strikers in London
3) or alternatively you can organise a delegation from your university or college to London
If you are in London and your university is not on strike
1) Twin with a UCU branch that will be on strike that day and organise breakfast, tea and a delegation to the picket line on the day itself.
2) Come to the London demonstration. The demonstration will start from ULU at 11am
